SOCCER SHOTS SPRING SIGN-UPS
It is time to sign up for the Spring Soccer Shots Season! Please visit www.soccershots.org/northinlandempire and sign-up today! Only children in our Children’s House and above may sign up for this program. Contact the office or Soccer Shots if you have more questions about the curriculum. There is a class limit of 12 and so there are very few spaces still available.
SPRING PICTURE DAY
Dress you best and smile, it's picture time!!! On April 6, 2021 we will be having Picture Day. Pictures will be held from 8:00 AM- 9:30. All children will be photographed even if you are not planning on purchasing them. Proofs will be out about a week later and you can decide if you want to order them. The school will receive a digital copy for our school records and to use for any year end memory book. Please contact the office if you have questions!
ELEMENTARY CLASS OPENING FOR 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR
We are excited to announce that we are reopening our Elementary program for the 2021-2022 School Year. In conjunction with this opening, we will be working on our school accreditation with the International Montessori Council (IMC) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We will be beginning construction of the classrooms in the next few weeks with the completion date to be at some time near or during our summer session. If you are interested in what a Montessori education can look like at the Elementary level, please visit our website @ www.montessoriacademyca.com/lowerelementary .We are so excited to offer a unique program that is driven by each child within a peer group. Outcomes are focused on methods, processes and critical thinking rather than memorization of facts. We are now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year!
PRIORITY ENROLLMENT PERIOD ENDING
Our priority enrollment for the 2021-2022 School Year is ending on Monday, April 5th. You can still enroll after this date, but you will not receive the Registration Fee discount. On Tuesday, April 6th we will be accepting Application form the public and those who are on the waiting list. Please contact the office if you have any questions about registration for next year.
SPRING BREAK REMINDERS
Spring break will be next week. Please remember that your child’s head teacher will not be in the classroom and unavailable for the entire week. We hope you all had a chance to meet with them this week and catch up on your child’s progress the past school term. During Spring Break remember that we have no HOT LUNCH available during this week so you will need to pack your child a lunch during the week. We might organize a Pizza Day one day next week, please keep your eye out for a message about this.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO SIGN IN/OUT
As mentioned to everyone when you enrolled, failing to sign-in/out is a Type A violation with our Licensing Agency. In order to make sure this doesn’t happen; I have asked my staff to remind you to sign in or out every time your drop off or pick up. Although most of you always remember, sometimes there can be distractions that cause us to forget. Please do not be annoyed but they will remind you every time they accept or release your child as a matter of policy. Our goal is to have 100% sign in/out rate every day. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
COVID GUIDANCE CHANGE
Our licensing agency notified us last week that only counties in the purple tier would have to adhere to the stricter 14 children in a cohort guidance. We have wanted to wait for a natural break to rearrange the classroom to its previous accommodations for the children. After Spring Break the children in the Children’s House classroom will no longer be separated in pods in their classrooms. Instead, we will continue to cohort each classroom separately to the greatest extent possible. Please contact the office if you have any questions. This guidance does not affect any of our other environments.
